Software Systems Engineering Research Group

The Software Systems Engineering Research Group is part of the Cavendish School of Computer Science in the University of Westminster. All members of the group are part of the Dept. of Software Engineering and teach on the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes offered by the department.

Our research interests cover a broad range of topics from software engineering and software-based systems, such as:

  • distributed systems, particularly content-based publish/subscribe and event notification systems
  • communication paradigms and peer-to-peer computing
  • active databases
  • semantic web and artificial intelligence
  • computational linguistics
  • requirements engineering
  • logic programming and database security
  • semantic web and ontologies
